We Have In-depth Industry Knowledge
As sector specialists – in energy, water & waste; process, manufacturing & engineering; housing, regeneration & development and the environment – our knowledge of these different industries is extremely broad and firmly deep seated. We will never profess to know as much as our clients who work in their roles day in day out, however we can certainly hold our own in these sectors and consistently stay up to date with industry news.
We Can Save Companies Time and Money
Working in niche, yet very broad sectors, we understand how they operate. As such, company’s do not need to spend their time and money educating us on the industry. We know our sectors inside out meaning that we can hit the ground running on all projects that we undertake.
We Can Hook Businesses Together
Scarab4 is extremely well connected and pride ourselves on putting people and companies together where there is an opportunity to do business and make revenue. We already work with some of the largest companies in Teesside including AV Dawson, Mech Tool Engineering, QA Weld Tech – amongst many others – and through these, and many of our other clients, have routes to decision makers, not only in these businesses, but across their supply chains and verticals as a whole.
We’re all chartered and qualified marketers so don’t just understand how important marketing strategy is to businesses, most importantly we know how to do it and do it well. We don’t equate marketing strategy to a rebrand, good design or a tagline plucked out of the air. It’s how – if it’s needed – we get to that design and tagline through well-researched, market intelligence and a strategic approach.
Our MD Jane and Marketing and PR Director Katherine, attended last night’s Cocktails and Views summer celebration event hosted by Arch Group. The event provided an opportunity for businesses in the energy sector to meet together and celebrate the arrival of the Tall Ships to the Port of Blyth ahead of the North Sea Tall Ships Regatta.
Held in Arch Group’s fantastic Blyth Workspace, there was an opportunity in the viewing room to see the ships in the dock. The evening was a great success with excellent entertainment, sumptuous cocktails and moreish food.
If you are free this bank holiday weekend, head down to the four-day festival – North Sea Tall Ships Blyth 2016 – for the chance to see up to 30 of the largest and most spectacular Tall Ships in the world.
After careful planning, hard work and close collaboration with our web designer, Scarab4 was able to effectively create two modern and compelling websites that showcase their respective companies in a professional and individual way. But although the two projects share a common result, the circumstances leading to each one were quite different.
Cougar Automation Ltd initially approached Scarab4 with the intention to boost their PR, however ended up commissioning a complete redesign for their, then, outdated website. As a forward thinking, technologically advancing company, it was important to produce an end result which incorporated a wholly modern look with simple navigation, engaging elements and captivating imagery.
Your Energy Broker, however, required a brand new company website from scratch. The start-up business had amassed an impressive client base from previous trading, but no online presence to bring new business. Scarab4 successfully created a striking new platform that incorporated lots of bright, minimalist strip imagery to reflect the company’s straight forward, direct approach.

Amidst the challenging oil and gas landscape, the North East’s leading engineering powerhouse has achieved sustainable growth which it firmly believes is down to its intelligent engineering approach to saving clients time and money.
Managing Director at Hexham based Red Marine, Joe Orrell, has adopted – and very much promoted – a high impact, engineering led culture within the business since it was founded in 2008. This has seen the business secure contracts to deliver its innovative engineering solutions to major global players including the likes of Subsea 7, FMC Technologies, Technip and GE Oil and Gas.
Joe believes that as oil companies continue to reduce their operating and capital spend, clients in the oil and gas industry can benefit by developing closer relationships with suppliers to gain more in-depth access to invaluable knowledge.
Red Marine is passionate about working closely with its clients to fully understand their individual requirements at the very outset of a project, and to use its first hand operational experience and streamlined engineering processes to efficiently deliver effective solutions that meet their individual business needs.
Joe said: “In the current climate, changes in processes to enable cost cutting are inevitable. However, Red Marine’s intelligent engineering mantra means the drive to save our clients time and money forms the DNA on which this business was founded. As such, we have always – and will continue to – apply our engineering expertise to rapidly deliver innovative engineering solutions that will save our clients time and money offshore.”
Employing some of the industry’s leading talent, another key ingredient of the intelligent engineering approach has been to decentralize the decision making process. This eliminates the need for decisions to be passed between departments which often leads to escalating costs and delaying implementation.
Joe added: “Our engineers are allowed to make their own decisions – this makes Red Marine very responsive to our client’s challenging and often evolving requirements.”
“We have a recipe that works – intelligent engineering can and clearly does reduce project risk and final costs. Operating in an environment that is fiercely driving efficiencies with a focus on reducing the cost of energy production, Red Marine’s offering is incredibly appealing.”
Having carved a reputation in the Oil and Gas sector, Red Marine has diversified into new energy sectors including offshore renewables and the nuclear industry. The company comprises a team of 24 personnel with extensive knowledge of offshore operations, product handling and remote intervention. From engineering consultancy, through the rapid design and build of bespoke equipment, to the development and delivery of testing services, the company has an 8-year track record of successfully delivering intelligent engineering solutions to complex offshore challenges.

Industry leader in water and wastewater treatment – Premier Tech Aqua – is continuing to lead the way in product innovation with the launch of its new integrated pumped version of the Conder ASP HDPE Sewage Treatment Plant, the first of its HDPE range of products to include this additional feature.
As the company’s long reigning flagship product, the Conder ASP Sewage Treatment Plant was launched in HDPE material in the summer of last year and has now been further improved to include an integral final effluent discharge pump system.
Eliminating the need for a separate pumping station to be installed downstream of the drainage, the new enhanced product will now allow the installer to overcome common obstacles or whereby site conditions means that gravity discharge would be difficult or – in a lot of cases – impossible.
Speaking about the new product launch, Stuart Thompson, Divisional Sales Manager for Standard Solutions at PTA, commented, “The ASP has always – and will remain to be – our flagship product and this further improvement, combined with the availability of HDPE material, will ensure it remains one of the most superior and reliable sewage treatment plans available in the industry.
“The new integrated blower version of this product delivers a host of benefits to the end user – not only does it provide a much more compact design due to being integrated into one unit but it also provides reduced installation costs as well as allowing more flexibility in the types of site we can cater for.”
The new ASP is part of a series of product and service offerings introduced by the company since a strategic acquisition by Canada based company Premier Tech in late 2013.
Designed for installation on both commercial and domestic application where mains drainage is unavailable, the product showcases all of the main features and benefits of the highly successful ASP including an integrated blower as standard, optional telescopic extension kit along with completely below ground installation for minimal visual impact
“We are continually investing into the research and development of all of our products and we will continue to develop and adapt this product to suit customer requirements and ensure it continues to revolutionise advancement in sewage treatment plant technology”, continued Stuart.
Based in Peterlee, Co. Durham, Premier Tech Aqua produces some of the most advanced water and wastewater treatment products available in the market and has been trading for over 40 years. The company designs and manufactures products for the residential, commercial, municipal and industrial markets across five distinct sectors; wastewater, rainwater harvesting, stormwater, storage and pump stations.
